It’s much easier to list where not to find eclipse glasses, than where to find them available.
Some calls found just two locations with eclipse glasses:
- Ferguson Public Library (35 N Florissant Road, Ferguson) — “a few left, come early”
- Left Bank Books (399 N Euclid Avenue) — $8.99
Where they’re not available:
- Brentwood Public Library
- Home Depot, Brentwood – online only
- Lowes, Maplewood
- Maplewood Public Library. An employee said all the libraries in the system are out. Eclipse viewers are invited to watch on the library grounds.
- Menards, Richmond Heights
- Richmond Heights Public Library gave out 3,000. The Heights will host an event on its front lawn beginning at 12:30
- Schiller’s Camera, Rock Hill – sold out on Wednesday, at $14.99 a pair
- Schnucks, Brentwood
- Shop ‘n Save, Maplewood
- Straubs, Clayton
- Target at the Promenade
- The Book House, free with purchase of “Missouri Total Eclipse Guide,” now out
- Scheidt Hardware in Maplewood had them until they posted it on Facebook (ad on 40 South) — sold out on Saturday.
- St. Louis city libraries (all 17 branches)
- University City Library (for now)
- Walmart, Maplewood

Please be aware that Amazon has issued a recall on eclipse glasses. If you got complimentary specs through a Realtor promotion, all of those supplied through the St. Louis Board of Realtors were purchased through (and recalled by) Amazon.
Not all of the glasses sold through Amazon were recalled, just ones the vendors couldn’t guarantee where they came from. Here is a link to Nasa that has a list of reputable Amazon vendors. http://www.eclipse2017.nasa.gov/safety

Ferguson Library tweeted that they were out as of noon today. http://bit.ly/2i7x0Jb
You can get them free if you buy papa johns deep dish pizza. Just got ours this afternoon.
Science Center was sold out. You can get a free pair with 12 pack of Schlafly Helles Lager. (or think of it as a free 12 pack of Schlafly when you buy $15 glasses, lol) If the box is taped shut, beware. Mine was and the glasses were missing. The Shop N Save manager was very accommodating and exchanged it.
Shop-N-Save and Schlafly have them in stock.
I purchased some at the U-City library yesterday ($1/pair). Looked like they had a decent supply.
Thank you for keeping everyone posted. I work at a retail store that gave them out. Now people keep asking where to get them. I will no longer send them to the libraries.
Left Bank Books still had some yesterday. And the On The Run on Olive in Olivette.
We got ours at the Science Center yesterday (Monday 8/14), not sure if they still have them.
