Maplewood’s Strange Donuts is known for its collaborations with St. Louis restaurants. Kakao Chocolate is known for its chocolate and confections. This weekend the two are finally getting together for a Strange Donut collaboration.
The Marshmallow Pie donut has homemade vanilla bean marshmallow fluff with toasted Missouri pecans on the inside—filled like a jelly doughnut—then Kakao dark chocolate sauce and more pecans on top.
Get one at Strange Donuts Friday and Saturday from 9 p.m. to close (or until they’re gone) or at Kakao locations in south St. Louis (2301 S Jefferson Avenue), in Maplewood (7272 Manchester Road), or their new location in Clayton (The Centene building, 7700 Forsyth).
They sure do look healthy…or maybe I don’t understand nutrition well enough.
