‘Eating Smart Being Active’, U of M Extension Family Nutrition Education in Maplewood

Eating Smart • Being Active is a research-based nutrition, food safety and food resource management education curriculum used by University of Missouri Extension Family Nutrition Education Programs.

Lessons focus on simple messages related to food and nutrition and give participants a chance to apply new information through interactive activities.

This interactive series offers lessons on label reading, using shopping ads, tips for eating from each of the food groups according to USDA MyPlate recommendations, food preparation and safety.

It’s at Maplewood United Christ Church Fellowship Hall (7126 Bruno Avenue) Wednesday 9:30 – 10:30 a.m.

  1. If that date/time does not work for you. AmberSky in Maplewood is also offering these classes (Wed at 5:30pm and Fri at 11:15am)! Excellent information!
