New and experienced gardeners alike are welcome to attend the free Native Plant Expo & Sale on Saturday, September 26. The program will be held from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m. at Schlafly Bottleworks, 7260 Southwest Avenue in Maplewood.
Habitat advisers from St. Louis Audubon’s Bring Conservation Home program will be available to answer your native plant questions. Proceeds from the event will benefit the BCH program. For more information on the Bring Conservation Home program, please see our website at www.stlouisaudubon.org/BCH.
Fall is a great time to plant perennials, trees and shrubs. Forrest-Keeling, Ozark Berry Farm and Missouri Wildflowers Nursery will be on hand with native plants for sale. You may pre-order from Missouri Wildflowers. See their website at www.mowildflowers.net. In addition, there will be free seeds and surplus plants of Missouri natives available from area native plant gardeners.
