Long ago everyone knew how to travel based on the position of the moon, the sun, and the stars. If you were in a strange environment you were at least able to tell in which direction to travel. This doesn’t have to be an “old days” type of skill, especially if you enjoy camping or hiking, or if you are just fascinated by what’s in the sky or want to know how to get from point A to point B by using those brilliant lights in the sky. Members of Maplewood-Richmond Heights Scout Troop 362 will share with us how to use various tools to navigate our way using the stars as our guide. We will start indoors and then weather permitting try our hand outside.
