St. Louis played a leading role in the battle for fair and equitable treatment, a role that is generally under-appreciated. Ms. Gwen Moore, Curator of Urban Landscape and Community Identity with the Missouri History Museum, will focus on two periods; before Brown v. Board of Education (1821-1954) and the modern Civil Rights Movement (1954-1968).
