First Richmond Heights woman councilman dies

Virginia M. Pennington, first woman to be elected to the Richmond Heights City Council,  died on July 22, 2016, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Pennington and her late husband, William P. Pennington, founded the Richmond Heights Chamber of Commerce; she served as the executive director for 30 years.

A Mass of Christian burial was held on August 6 at The Church of the Little Flower.  Burial followed at Resurrection Cemetery. Donations to the charity of your choice.
