Some Maplewood business people and others were among those who got out Monday afternoon to look up at the total eclipse as it passed through St. Louis.

It felt like a country picnic at Ryan Hummert park. Maybe 100 – 150 people. And so much fun. A group of us walked up to the park at about ten to twelve. First time I’ve ever seen the intersection of Manchester Rd at Marshall empty, with no traffic at all coming from any direction.
We, my sister and I, watched down at Rocket Park, under the pavilion by the snow cone stand….Had a really nice time….eating take out, and watching the eclipse. Some people there, but just not a whole lot of people. Looked like more over at the larger pavilion across the way.
