Ford truck, credit cards, cell phone stolen, Maplewood police say

Monday, Jan. 20

  • An 18-year-old man and a 17-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of stealing merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • Two 20-year-old men were arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Tuesday, Jan. 21

  • Police responded to the 7300 block of Maple for a reported disturbance. Police found that a man and a woman had been arguing. No arrests were made.
  • A 1997 Ford Ranger was stolen from the 2200 block of Yale Ave. The truck was recovered the following day in north St. Louis City. Police have identified a person of interest.
  • A 46-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • A 34-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stealing approximately $250 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • A 31-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of stealing approximately $625 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Wednesday, Jan. 22

  • Several credit cards and a cell phone charger were reported stolen from a vehicle in the 3100 block of Edgar.
  • A 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business. The subject was also charged with resisting arrest by flight and failure to comply. Officers had initially attempted to take the suspect into custody for the theft but he ran from the officers through the parking lot. He was apprehended after a short foot pursuit.
  • A 21-year-old man was arrested in the 3700 block of Greenwood Boulevard for disorderly conduct.
  • Police are investigating a reported internal theft at a business in the 7400 block of Manchester.
  • A 37-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • A 31-year-old man and a 28-year-old man were arrested on suspicion of stealing approximately $115 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
