Commercial space is up for rent in Maplewood that was recently part of the Book House. Landlord Red Brick is offering the 3,700 space in the 7300 block of Manchester Road for $18.50/PSF + NNN (triple net lease), according to the company’s website.

landlords jack up the rent and prevent businesses from thriving
So they kicked the Book House out with no tenant to lease the space? I would think they would actually make money with The Book House still occupying it, but telling them they are shopping the space for rent.
Have you thought maybe The Bookhouse couldn’t afford all that unnecessary square footage of clutter? Hard to make money when your customers cant fine anything.
Why did the book house need all that space? Come on. Place was and is a disaster. I welcome a new business…and guess what? The Bookhouse is still there. Win Win.
