Maplewood Richmond Heights basketball coach, Corey Frazier, released from MRH in April, has been hired by John Burroughs School as head coach, according the school and other sources on Twitter.
Frazier coached 16 years for MRH, while also serving as a teaching assistant in the in-school suspension program. The program is being revamped to one requiring a certified teacher, the school said in an announcement. Frazier told the St. Louis Post-Dispatch the decision was mutual.
In the fall, 2016, Frazier was named to coach for the USA Olympic team. In the recent season, MRH went 13-14 and finished as the Class 3 District 5 runner-up to Cardinal Ritter.
