The Galleria mall, in Richmond Heights, is going against a national trend, with the lowest vacancy rate in the St. Louis area, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports.
Area malls, including Mid Rivers Mall, South County Center, West County Center and Plaza Frontenac are all at six-year vacancy rate highs, The Post-Dispatch reports. Also that vacancy rates at malls nationally hit 8.4 percent in the first quarter of 2018, up from 7.9 percent in the prior year period.
St. Louis Galleria is the area’s top performer with a vacancy rate of 1.4 percent, and has seen the most growth in tenancy over the last six years, too.
