At last year’s Tri-City Garage Sale, Becki and Thad Nieman published that they planned to use the sale to raise money to help fund an adoption. Their fund-raiser surpassed their expectations. So this year they want to give back.
Becki said they called the Maplewood Richmond Heights school district and asked where the greatest need is — the reply was Joe’s Place. So this year the residents of Bredell Avenue between Dale and Bruno avenues plan to give half their proceeds to Joe’s Place.
The Tri-City Sale — in Brentwood, Maplewood and Richmond Heights — is Oct. 7, beginning at 7 a.m.
Joe’s Place is a house a block from MRH that serves as a home for a group of boys without homes while they go to MRH High School.
