The Slider House, a restaurant to open in Rock Hill at 9528 Manchester Road, on March 6, will focus on “elevated bar food,” — sliders — according to Feast Magazine.
It’s in the former Altai Mongolian Grill and Baskin-Robbins at the southwest corner of Manchester and Rock Hill — across the parking lot from Lucky’s Market.
Appetizers will include lobster mac ‘n’ cheese, fried green tomatoes, a shrimp cocktail with poached shrimp, watermelon-mint gazpacho and tzatziki sauce.
Eighteen different mini burgers are available, including the Fast Break (grilled beef, Cheddar, fried egg, maple bacon and roasted jalapeño-bacon aioli on a waffle slider bun), Chickety China (ponzu-marinated grilled five-spice chicken, pickled green tomato, crispy wontons, Asian slaw and Sriracha aioli on a sesame bun) and Bay of Pigs (smoked pork tenderloin, Swiss, ham, pickled, Guinness Dijonnaise on a pretzel bun).
Seven salads are on the menu, including the Garden & Grain with kale, quinoa, pistachios, dried cranberries, olive oil and fresh lemon; and a Paleo Bowl with red-leaf lettuce, baked sweet potato, shaved red onion, shaved Brussels sprouts, diced avocado, roasted red pepper and cilantro.
