A group calling themselves the Maplewood Community Builders held a public meeting in November to consider what public safety could look like in Maplewood, and what a transparent process around public safety and the Prop P sales tax funding could look like.
The group’s next step is to conduct a citizen-led survey.
They plan to canvass the city with clipboard. They’re looking for a representative sample of people that live, work, shop, go to school in, and pass through Maplewood.
The surveying is to run through approximately February 12. The group’s next public meeting will be held in late March, where they plan to share a draft of the survey results and invite the public to add more stories, identify themes in the results, and continue to discuss the Prop P funding.
