The building at 8823 Manchester Road, across from Schnucks and next to Baumann’s Fine Meats in Brentwood, is being renovated by its owner, Homeland Realty, of Clayton, and will be available for a commercial tenant.
So far, there are no takers.
Broker/owner Rich Birner said the exterior stone and brick will be refurnished and the interior will be a “white box,” ready for a tenant’s build-out.
He said the picture windows will be moved out to the front face of the building, and whatever stone and brick that can be restored will be. One change: the large number on the front is currently the year the building was constructed, 1925. He said that will probably be changed to the building address, to reduce confusion.
