On Saturday, June 14, teams will gather for the Maplewood Shuffle—an “entertaining and competitive afternoon of a combination trivia contest, scavenger hunt, and pub crawl to explore the Maplewood community and support the mission of Joe’s Place,” the website states.
Funds raised from the event will directly benefit boys at Joe’s Place.
Joe’s Place offers a small group of teenage boys in the MRH School District—who find themselves without a home—what every kid should be able to expect from life: a warm place to sleep, regular meals and someone to provide guidance and affection, according to the Joe’s Place website.
The Maplewood Shuffle activities will include:
- Trivia, games and challenges at each stop
- Food and drink specials at participating venues
- Prizes awarded at the final check-in
All Maplewood Shuffle participants will receive an event t-shirt, course map, access to food and drink specials at participating venues, and one free drink voucher.
They’re looking for participants. Find out more here. It’s on Facebook, and Twitter at @MWoodShuffle.
Well I sure hope Joe’s Place gets treated better than BHGH got treated in Brentwood.
