A Short History of Crossroads – Maplewood
Crossroads Presbyterian Fellowship was planted by Covenant Presbyterian Church, of Town and Country. Missouri, in February, 2003 and became particularized in April, 2005. Crossroads began with the goal of bringing the Gospel in word and deed to the mid-county region of St. Louis, centering on the Maplewood/Richmond Heights area. The initial plant began with a group of about 60 core members and have grown each year to include about 250 worshipers with a diversity of backgrounds and ages each Sunday.
When Crossroads first started meeting, services were held in the local middle school cafeteria, but in August, 2005, they were able to purchase our own building, which was formerly owned by Maplewood Christian Church. In 2007, Crossroads began some projects to increase the size of our sanctuary but even with the expansion of the sanctuary, the leadership of the church began to sense a call to look to begin either two services or start a site plant in another community of St. Louis…
