The vacant lot behind Treasure Aisles Antique Mall and Big Bend Antique Gallery, on Big Bend Boulevard, is for sale—zoned residential.
It’s actually two adjacent lots, at the intersection of Jerome and Florent, owned by Dan Stevens, who also owns the two antique malls.
Last November Stevens took a request to planning and zoning to rezone it from residential to arterial business so his customers could use the lot for picnics.
But Stevens withdrew the request in the meeting after zoning administrator, Marty Corcoran recommended against it and residents also spoke against it.
The parcel is listed at $63,500, which agent Charlotte Redmond-Fondren said is negotiable. She said it went on the market Wednesday.
