LuLu Asian Kitchen, at 9737 Manchester Road, in Rock Hill, plans to soft open on Wednesday, Feb. 8, owner Julia Li said Tuesday.
The spot was previously Red Lotus Spa & Bistro, a nail salon/ Vietnamese restaurant, and China Inn for decades before that.
The new menu will include Americanized and authentic Chinese dishes, and steam buns and pot stickers, Sauce Magazine reported in August 2016.
LuLu Asian Kitchen will be open 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
Really looking forward to this!!!! Julia Li is a most creative and dedicated chef/owner, and I wish her great success! So glad she is moving into this location—
Agree. Maplewood is the capital of fried food now. The new chicken shack where the old Shell station was is rising quickly. Soon the intersection of Manchester & Big Bend will be a wash with the smell of burning grease….
my family loved China Inn, didn’t care for Red Lotus.
Love steamed buns. Haven’t had any good ones since moving from Los Angeles. Too much BBQ, pizza and fried foods in this town.
