Let’s see — pay rent or get a tattoo, pay rent or get a tattoo… Also, remember have to stop by the paper-bag and glue store on the way home.

Wow. Maplewood has condoned another bad habit for the kids and adults of the city.
The city council should have a Tax Free Zone for cigarette, cigar, and drug paraphernalia … electronic cigarettes and that type of paraphernalia … tattoo shops for adolescents, people who spend their rent money on tattoos, and middle-aged age rock band chasing women who want to show their friends how hep they are by getting tattoos … and paper bag and glue stores.
They should put those stores in one place that I DON’T drive by, with my kids.
No town is perfect.
Jerry, Maplewood city council recently passed an ordinance banning sale of e-cigs to 18 and under, by the way.
These shops are pretty easy to explain to kids, they’re to help people quit smoking. I think it’s a great addition to Maplewood and hope it can help some of our residents take the first step to break the habit! Given that it will be 18+, I think there’s little concern about an adverse impact on children of the area.
While vapor cigarettes are better than regular cigarettes, the still have an effect of closing the nose to lung airway. Many cases have been found where, in the absence of vapor cigarettes, adolescents have smoked tobacco cigarettes. Vapor cigarettes and what goes into them, cost money that people can spend on more rational products and services. While not toxic, they are still a way to use money on something other than food, rent, or savings.
I agree with Laine, these stores are not hard to explain to kids. I quit smoking with a vaporizer, and have now been nicotine, cigarette and vaporizer free, for just over a year. Jerry, these vaporizers are helping people quit smoking, so what is worse, the cigarettes or the vaporizer, weigh your decisions and quit whining about it. I’d much rather have a vape shop then another cigarette and liquor store in our city, do you go out of your way so you don’t have to drive your kids past Maplewood Liquor or D-Mart when it was still there? Don’t bash things just because you know nothing personally about it.
“An effect of closing the nose to lung airway”. What does that mean? Relax Jerry. This is a harmless edition to our community. It is much better than my idea of a huffers cafe. Where airplane glue and brown paper bags are sold for so cheap that they leave plenty of money left to pay the rent.
did he just say “hep”??
