Maplewood police reported on June 19 that on the evening of June 16 detectives with the department arrested Charles C. Ackerman in Creve Coeur, who was developed as the suspect responsible for committing numerous armed robberies in the 2800 block of Sutton Boulevard.
Ackerman, 30, of Cape Girardeau was charged with numerous armed robberies, including a home invasion in the 7300 block of Hazel that occurred on June 4, 2017.
According to the Post-Dispatch, the man’s crime spree unraveled partly because he left hotel receipts behind in a Prius he tried to carjack but couldn’t figure out how to drive.
On June 17 warrants were issued through the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office on the charges of first degree robbery (3 counts), armed criminal action (4 counts), first degree burglary (1 count) and attempted robbery (1 count). Ackerman is being held on a $100,000 cash only bond.
Good work proud of maplewood police
Doberman.
Thank you, Maplewood Police, for keeping us safe!
Why Maplewood? It is not like there are a lot of rich people living here. Also he is not from around here. It seems strange that he would pick Maplewood, instead of Chesterfield, or Clayton.
Yay! Thank you Maplewood Police Department and keep up he good qork. Could he also be the carjacking guy? He could be mistaken for Hispanic.
