The city of Maplewood announced on Facebook Friday that Maplewood City Manager Marty Corcoran was presented with the Buzz Westfall Excellence in Local Government Award by the Municipal League of Metro St. Louis.
Also, Maplewood Police Chief Steve Kruse accepted a MUNI Award in the category of Citizen Engagement for the First Responders Meal Program.
Corcoran has been the Maplewood city manager since 1983. He’s announced his retirement; his last day on the job will be July 14.
