This Sunday, many of us will be watching one of the most popular games in the history of sports…the Super Bowl!
If you had tuned into the Super Bowl game in 1967, 57 years ago, you would have heard a bona fide, legendary, Maplewood, football star, Paul Christman calling the play by play with another famous announcer, Curt Gowdy.
Thanks again to Elmer Wind, Jr. for putting me on to this Maplewood superstar.
His brother Mark, also from Maplewood, played 9 years in MLB for Detroit, STL Browns and Washington Nationals.
Awesome. I’ll copy that and add to the file. Thanks, Ed.
