Maplewood Mayor Barry Greenberg announced at the council meeting Tuesday that he has launched a blog for him to communicate with residents.
He said he hopes the site will allow him to have a dialog with residents on city issues, including asking him questions. The site is at maplewoodmayor.com.
The site has a list of eight rules and disclaimers.
Greenberg’s advice for commenters are: always comment on the subject topic; use short sentences; use good blogging manners – be courteous and respectful, avoid rudeness, profanity, racial comments or inappropriate offensive comments; do not use confidential information in your comments. There are other commenting rules.
He moderates the site and each comment.
The site currently includes information about a possible Great Rivers Greenway connecting route through Maplewood, and the dedication of the Barry and Deni Greenberg Commons at KSU.
I appreciate the effort to reach residents.
