McDonald’s USA Heartland Region Communications Manager Neil Getzlow said in an email that the Maplewood McDonald’s will reopen after improvements are made.

The McDonald’s, near Deer Creek, closed Tuesday with a day’s notice to employees.

This is the statement from McDonald’s USA:

“The Big Bend location is temporarily closing while an ownership change is made at the restaurant, as well as improvements to the interior and exterior of the restaurant and property are undertaken to enhance our customers’ experience. The franchisee will continue to employ all employees. In the meantime, we ask that our customers visit our nearby Brentwood and Webster Groves McDonald’s locations. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause to our loyal customers but look forward to serving them our world famous McDonald’s fries, Big Macs, coffee and Egg McMuffins as soon as we can.”
