Maplewood police: a fight, an argument, gas theft, shoplifting

The following information was supplied by the Maplewood Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Friday, Jan. 3

  • Police responded to the 7500 block of Manchester for a domestic disturbance. A man and woman said they were arguing over personal property. The man voluntarily left the residence. No arrests were made or charges issued.
  • A 24-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
  • An unknown male subject allegedly failed to pay for gas in the 3000 block of S. Hanley. Police are investigating and believe this may be related to a similar theft at the same business on Dec. 31.

Saturday, Jan. 4

  • Police responded to a residence in the 7400 block of Maple Avenue for a reported fight in front of the house. Police discovered multiple subjects when they arrived, who dispersed. A 19-year-old man was issued a summons for disorderly conduct.
  • A 38-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.

Sunday, Jan. 5

  • A leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident was reported in the 3300 block of Cambridge. A parked vehicle was struck. Police are investigating the incident.
