Maplewood police: Man assaults former employer

The following information was supplied by the Maplewood Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Thursday, March 6

  • A 34-year-old man was arrested on in the 7400 block of Manchester for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
  • A leaving the scene of a motor vehicle accident was reported in the 2000 block of Bellevue Avenue. A parked vehicle was struck by an unknown vehicle.
  •  A 26-year-old man was arrested for allegedly assaulting his former employer in the 3700 block of Big Bend Industrial Court. The suspect was also wanted by this agency for a failure to appear warrant as well as active warrants through another jurisdiction.

Saturday, March 8

  • Police responded to the 7200 block of Lyndover Avenue for a reported disturbance. When they arrived they found a married man and woman who had been arguing. The man voluntarily left and no arrests were made or charges filed.
  • License plates were reported stolen off a vehicle in the 7200 block of Manchester Road.

Sunday, March 9

  • A 32-year-old man was arrested in the area of Manchester and Hanley roads for suspicion of driving while intoxicated.
  •  A 32-year-old man was arrested in the area of Yale and Manchester for suspicion of driving while intoxicated. The man was additionally charged with possession of a controlled substance that was discovered on his person at the time of the arrest.
