Maplewood Planning and Zoning met Monday to consider an amendment to the plat of land where the new Porsche and Maserati dealerships will be located off Hanley Road south of Manchester Road. It was approved.
Public Works Director Anthony Traxler told the commission he had thought the dealerships would break ground in January or February, but it’s moving along faster than that.

Traxler said the building at 2305 Big Bend Boulevard is planned to be a 24-hour day care facility. It might be for someone who works a night shift, he said.
He also said some residents wanting to operate Airbnb’s will be coming to the commission for approval in coming meetings.

There was a question if the city restricts the number of cars a resident can have parked at their house — they mentioned one that has seven cars. Traxler said the city does not limit that.
He said there will be two or three things for the commission at the January meeting.
