The Shakespeare in the Streets production in Maplewood on September 17 and 18 set a new attendance record, according to the organization.
They tweeted on Tuesday that more than 3,000 saw the show in Maplewood, ‘Remember Me,’ and that the record was set in just two nights instead of the usual three; the Friday show was rained out.
The production was the fifth annual. Previous shows have been staged in Old North St. Louis, Clayton, The Grove and Cherokee Street neighborhoods.
- ‘Remember Me’ was a hit; come talk about the show, Maplewood stories at Stone Spiral
- Shakespeare play is ghostly, that’s not new to Maplewood

Great performance, Phyllis and company!
Take that Clayton and other places that think they have a better community than Maplewood!. It was great to see so many people participate and enjoy original Shakespeare updated to connect with our fantastic town
