Missouri American Water issued an Emergency Boil Water Advisory for parts of Maplewood, Webster Groves and Shrewsbury Sunday morning. The water company is advising customers to boil water for three minutes before using it for drinking or cooking. UPDATE: The boil water advisory was canceled Monday afternoon.
As a result, Maplewood Richmond Heights School District has canceled all classes for Monday.

This is a message from Missouri American Water. We are calling to tell you that we have issued a boil water advisory for portions of Maplewood, Shrewsbury and Webster Groves that affects you.
We are asking customers to bring their water to a boil for three minutes before using it for drinking or cooking. Tap water is okay for washing and bathing. We will take water quality samples in the area Tuesday. The boil water advisory will be in effect until water quality samples confirm that the water remains safe for consumption.
