Maya Cafe, which closed last August, will be reopening soon, owner, Jay Schober said Friday. He said the restaurant was “torpedoed” last summer, and what caused it to close was a surprise, though wouldn’t say any more about it.
Schober said there aren’t many more obstacles to reopening, which might take place by the weekend, or National Margarita Day, which is Sunday, Feb. 22, “for sure”. After that the Maya should be open full time. He said there’s an inspection to get through this week.
He said there will be a few changes when it reopens—possibly some additions to the menu.
