The new walkway between the Brentwood Metro station and Brentwood Pointe is in use, according to a resident.
The project was announced in July on the Metro Transit blog, nextstop with a prediction of two months to complete. Brentwood Mayor Chris Thornton said by email that the contractor began the project, but was delayed when it was determined that one of the walls adjacent was unstable.
The wall belongs to Brentwood, and the city authorized the contractor to make the repairs. Thornton said a delay was probably due to materials acquisition, etc.
The walkway is funded by the Hanley Road Corridor Transportation Development District.
