Maplewood plan and zoning will consider a request for a micro-brewery on Manchester Road at its Jan. 4 meeting. Developer, David Schlafly bought the building — the former Saint Louis Closet Company location — in November.

The items on the Maplewood plan and zoning agenda for Jan. 4:

  • Review and recommendation of a request to amend the Arterial Business District to allow day care centers as a conditional use.
  • Review and recommendation of a request for a conditional use permit to allow a day care center in the Arterial Business District at 2305 S. Big Bend Boulevard. See also: Maplewood P&Z: 24-hour daycare planned
  • Review and recommendation of a request to amend ‘micro-breweries’  of the Community Business District to modify the square footage of retail space required for micro-breweries.
  • Review and recommendation of a request for a conditional use permit to allow a microbrewery with retail facilities at 7458 Manchester Road. (7458 Manchester is connected, directly behind 7460.)
  • Review and recommendation of a request to amend a Planned Unit Development ordinance regarding building, parking and drive setbacks, and use regulations.
