Work began today on Big Bend that will slow southbound traffic for approximately 120 days.
Missouri American Water is replacing a water main that runs along the curb from the 2300 block of Big Bend to Hiawatha Avenue, according to a contractor on the site.
The contractor said he thought he was called in to fix a leak in the main, but discovered he was there to begin replacing it. He said there have been breaks in the line recently.
Well better to replace it now, before we get a bad break this winter, and have a bunch of Ice…….
