Maplewood Richmond Heights school chef Robert Rusan was invited to speak at a Pillsbury conference at the City Museum a few weeks ago, and it netted him a cool souvenir.
The conference was called the 2016 Pillsbury K-12 Connection Thinking Outside the Box. Pillsbury is owned by General Mills which also makes Wheaties. The General Mills people were so impressed with Chef Robert’s presentation that they had a Wheaties box made and sent to him.
Chef Robert is often invited to speak at conferences around the country about MRH’s innovative Farm to Table healthy food program. He was also awarded a 2015 School Nutrition Hero Award by the School Nutrition Association in 2015.
Congratulations! Great keepsake. Did anyone video your speech?
How are Wheaties and Pillsbury, and for that matter General Mills, connected with anything farm-to-table?
