A Maplewood Richmond Heights class ring stolen 30 years ago reappeared and was returned to its owner after its photo was posted on Facebook this week.
MRH Director of Communications Ed Rich posted the photo, asking the community for help tracking down Joseph Scott, Class of ’80.
Scott saw the photo and said on Facebook: “That is crazy!!! My house was broke into in the late 80s and the ring was stolen. How in the world did it get back to MRH?”
Rich replied that a substitute worker filling in at the high school desk said an “older couple” walked in saying they’d found it. She didn’t get their names or any information about when or where it was located.
