Maplewood Richmond Height Cub Scout Pack 362 Cubmaster Mark Langston, was honored with the Pathfinder District Award of Merit at the recent district dinner.
The Award of Merit is the Pathfinder Districts highest award and is given to the Scouter who has rendered service of an outstanding nature at the district level; above and beyond the expectation of the Scouter’s assigned duties.
Langston was recognized for being the longest serving cubmaster in the history of Pack 362. He also volunteers as the advancement chair for Boy Scout Troop 493 and serves as district commissioner for the Pathfinder District. Mr. Langston’s recent passion has been working with the Greater St. Louis Area Council to bring Cub Scouting to the children of the underserved north St. Louis County.
Langston is a former mayor of the city of Maplewood and has two sons, Michael who is an Eagle Scout and Matthew who is currently completing his Eagle project.
