Maplewood Richmond Heights volleyball began its season with three wins and a tie, taking second in the Hancock Tournament.
At last year’s Hancock, MRH defeated Jennings, Metro and Hancock, and took two loses to Crossroads.
This year the Blue Devils beat Principia (25-21, 26-24), Valley Park (25-21, 25-15) and Lift for Life (25-14, 25-11), and tied with Bayless (splitting sets 25-21, 22-25), reported by the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.
In the tournament, per the Post-Dispatch, Addy Berge, Ruby Grien, Madi LaChance and Whitney Schranz had 100 percent perfect serves. Abby Kaufman had 11 aces and Caroline Barron had 10. Melissa Rasmussen scored 10 kills.
