The MSD construction at the intersection of Manchester Road and Bellevue Avenue should be complete in a little over a month, according to MSD spokesperson, Sean Hadley. He added that weather and any unforeseen circumstances could cause delays.
The entire project — Maplewood/Blendon Sanitary Relief — is now slated to be complete in March of 2018. It was originally scheduled to be complete by October of 2017. The delay is mostly because the city of Maplewood requested that MSD stop any work that would cause traffic issues in and around downtown Maplewood during the holidays, Hadley said in an email.
- Lane restrictions coming as MSD to begin work at Bellevue and Manchester (May 2016)
- Bellevue to remain open during MSD work (Jan. 2016)
- MSD work to turn north on Bellevue (Jan. 2016)
This doesn’t mean MSD stopped working, crews were out potholing and doing utility locates further up into Richmond Heights. The visible parts (Manchester & Bellevue) was on hold until after the holidays.
