A developer would like to to demolish 8722 Eulalie Avenue and construct a new 2-story house on the site, but after two meetings with the Brentwood Architectural Review Board the applicant hasn’t shown the board an acceptable plan, city staff representative Steve Larson said Friday.
He said the developer came to the May 19 meeting with plans that showed the garage too far out in front of the house — same as it was in the April meeting. Larson said the board wants to see a plan that fits better with the existing houses.
He said often a developer hires an architect to design a house, which the developer tries to use on multiple sites, but it doesn’t always fit the neighborhood.
So far there’s been no vote on the plan because the board hasn’t been shown one it likes.
