A new Great Rivers Greenway trail connecting with the west end of the Deer Creek Park trail is set to open, adding a mile and a half to the existing greenway, making a total of more than two miles GRG has announced.
On Thursday a 140 foot long, ten foot wide pedestrian bridge will be installed across Shady Grove Creek, completing the trail connecting Deer Creek Park to Lorraine Davis Park in Webster Groves.
The city of Maplewood has approved work to continue a GRG trail through Maplewood to connect the east end of the Deer Creek trail with another GRG trail that ends at Francis R. Slay Park in St. Louis city.
