The Maplewood Richmond Heights School District announced on Friday that Meghan Boyer will be the new assistant principal at MRH Elementary School beginning July 1. She has been a special education teacher at the school since 2003.
According to MRH, Boyer holds both a B.A. and M.A. in teaching/special education from Webster University. She also holds an education specialist degree in educational leadership from Webster University and is a graduate of the Special School District Leadership Academy.
MRH Superintendent Karen Hall said, “Her experience with our students, families and community will allow her to immediately meet the needs of our diverse enrollment and further their academic success.”
Elementary Principal Jason Adams said, “I am thrilled for Meghan to continue to provide leadership within our school. She has been instrumental in supporting our school climate initiatives and I look forward to the positive impact she will have on our learning community.”
Former Elementary School assistant principal, Jonathan Strong, will leave MRH as of June 30 to join St. Louis Public Schools as the new principal at Meramec Elementary.
Meghan Boyer is an outstanding educator. I wish her great success in her new role.
