Businesses moving or moving on, and others moving or expanding have been the impetus for new signs on Manchester Road in Maplewood.
When Movies Unlimited closed its doors in April 2013, accountant Ken Ploch took the opportunity to move his office across Manchester Road into the empty space at 7215 Manchester Road. Ploch’s new sign went up a few days ago.
When Ploch moved out of 7294 Manchester Road, next to Foundation Grounds, the owners of the thriving five-year-old coffee shop snatched it up. Watch for FoGro’s expansion in the coming months.
Jones Typewriter moved from 7278 Manchester Road to Greenwood Boulevard last year; look for A Pizza Story to open there in February. The wood-fired pizza restaurant’s new sign and retractable awing were installed in the past few days.
