The historic Maplewood home, Woodside — built in 1848-50 and owned by the city for 15 years — was bought by Brendon D. Papineau and Elizabeth M. Papineau of Richmond Heights, as reported in June. The couple have started started work restoring the house and are sharing their progress online, with A Farmhouse in the City.
The first post, on July 18, is called, ‘How This Whole Thing Started.’

When people find out we bought a farmhouse that was built in 1848 and needs a complete renovation, they are mostly unsurprised.
