The then-director of the Maplewood Public Library who took over after the retirement of the long-time director, Terry Donnelly, has left the post for a position with the St. Louis Public Library system.
Kathy Condon-Boettcher took over in October 2019, said via Facebook messenger the job wasn’t a “good fit.”
Condon-Boettcher said Maplewood has a wonderful staff and a great library board and she knows the library is appreciated by the community.
“I truly wish everyone there the best of luck and know the next Director will do good things there. The job just wasn’t the right fit for me. I’m now Manager of the Center for the Reader at St. Louis Public Library,” she said.
