On the first day for candidates to file to run for seats on school boards, no one showed in Brentwood and only incumbents filed at Maplewood Richmond Heights.
Brentwood Board of Education members Katrina McDonald and Katrina Sommer’s seats expire April 2015.
At MRH two positions are available with three-year terms, and one position with a one-year unexpired term.
Ralph Posley and Wesley Robb’s 3-year terms expire in April, and they both filed to run. Robb was appointed in August.
Ray Crader was appointed in November. He filed to run to fulfill his 1-year unexpired term.
As for municipal offices being contested in April 2015, filing for school boards runs through Jan. 20.
