Monday, Jan. 26
- Police arrested a 28-year-old man for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
- Police arrested a 22-year-old man and a 23-year-old man for stealing approximately $125 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
- Police arrested a 30-year-old man for stealing approximately $110 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business. The suspect was additionally charged with possession of drug paraphernalia which was discovered on him at the time of the arrest.
Tuesday, Jan.27
- Police arrested a 20-year-old man for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
Wednesday, Jan. 28
- Police arrested a 23-year-old man for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
- Police arrested a 22-year-old man for stealing approximately $350 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
- Police responded to the area of S. Big Bend and Rannells for a motor vehicle accident. After conducting an investigation, police arrested one of the drivers involved in the accident, a 53-year-old female, for driving while intoxicated.
- Police arrested a 38-year-old man for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
Thursday Jan. 29
- Police are investigating a theft at a business in the 2800 block of S. Big Bend wherein approximately $150 U.S. currency was stolen. Police have identified a person of interest in this investigation.
- Police arrested a 35-year-old man for stealing approximately $120 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business. The suspect was also wanted by several other agencies for active warrants.
- Police arrested a 19-year-old woman and 20-year-old woman for stealing merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
Friday, Jan. 30
- Police arrested two adult men and a woman for shoplifting merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
- Police arrested a 24-year-old man and a 27-year-old man for stealing approximately $715 in merchandise from a Maplewood Commons business.
- A 1998 Plymouth Breeze was stolen from the area of Sutton and Maple.
I was so against Walmart coming in for just this reason
I imagine Walmart accounts for most of these shoplifting incidents. It seems like this is happening week after week.
