The following information was supplied by the Maplewood Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.
Monday, Oct. 5
- Police were dispatched to a business in the 3600 block of Big Bend for a fight in progress between two adult male subjects. Through investigation, police learned that one of the subjects involved was the main aggressor, and was subsequently arrested for third degree assault.
Tuesday, Oct. 6
- Police began an investigation into a fraud that totaled approximately $2000. At this time a suspect has been identified and is currently wanted for the offense.
Wednesday, Oct. 7
- Police conducted a traffic stop in the area of Big Bend and Manchester Road. As a result of this stop police arrested the driver of the vehicle for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol.
Saturday, Oct. 10
- Police were dispatched to a Maplewood Commons business in reference to a larceny in progress. Upon arrival police learned that an adult male suspect had stolen approximately $100 worth of alcohol. Upon conducting an area canvass, the suspect was located and found to be in possession of said stolen property. The suspect was later arrested for stealing under $500.
- Police were dispatched to a Maplewood Commons business in reference to a larceny in progress. Upon arrival police were told that an adult female suspect had stolen approximately $350 worth of miscellaneous clothing and cosmetic items. The female was later located and found to be in possession of said items. The suspect was arrested for stealing under $500.
Sunday, Oct. 11
- Police began an investigation into a larceny from a vehicle located in the 3600 block of Commonwealth Avenue. Through investigation, police learned that approximately $450 worth of costume jewelry was missing from the vehicle, however the vehicle was found to be locked and undamaged. This investigation is ongoing.
