Steven Pappas, 40, of St. Charles, was charged with having methamphetamine, after being arrested for the offense on February 28 at 1900 Maplewood Commons Drive.
According to court and police records, a Maplewood officer responded to a call of a theft in progress. Pappas was identified as the subject. The officer arrested Pappas for theft. During the arrest, a clear plastic bag containing a white crystal substance, a plastic bag containing a yellow powdery substance and two glass vials containing a white crystal substance fell from the defendant’s pocket. Police lab confirmed that it was methamphetamine. Pappas was held on $5,000 bond.
